VGP Universal Kingdom is Chennai’s favourite amusement and water park rolled into one, spread out along the East Coast Road just south of the city. Families come here for the roller coasters and thrill rides in the dry park, then cool off in the water park next door, all on the same sprawling campus near Injambakkam.

How to Reach VGP Universal Kingdom from Chennai
The park sits on the East Coast Road (ECR) at Injambakkam, roughly 18 to 20 km south of central Chennai, which puts it about 40 minutes to an hour away by car depending on traffic. If you’re driving from the city, take the ECR past Thiruvanmiyur and Neelankarai, and you’ll spot the park’s entrance on your left with plenty of signage. Auto rickshaws and app cabs are easy to book from most parts of Chennai, and there’s a paid parking area on site if you’re bringing your own vehicle. Public buses running along the ECR also stop close to the park, though a cab is far more convenient if you’ve got children and beach bags in tow.
